RCCG Jesus House Exeter, England is a vibrant, multicultural and growing parish of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), committed to raising disciples and transforming lives through the Word of God, prayer and Spirit-led worship.

We are seeking to appoint a Young Adults and Youth Pastor (Minister of Religion) who will provide spiritual leadership and pastoral oversight for our youth and young adults ministries, helping young people grow in faith, develop godly character, discover purpose, and actively participate in the life and mission of the church. The role will involve teaching and discipleship, pastoral care, mentoring, leadership development, and supporting outreach initiatives that engage young people within the church and the wider community.

The successful candidate must be a born-again, Spirit-filled Christian with a clear calling to youth and young adult ministry, and the ability to relate to, inspire, and guide young people from diverse backgrounds. The candidate must have completed the RCCG Workers-in-Training process, demonstrate a strong understanding of the RCCG Statement of Faith (Tenets), and be committed to upholding the vision, doctrine, and culture of RCCG Jesus House Exeter.

Evidence of ministry training and ongoing spiritual development will be required and assessed at interview stage. The role will also require flexibility to work across weekends and midweek services/programmes, and to collaborate closely with the Lead Pastor, parents/guardians, and relevant ministry teams to ensure a safe, effective, and spiritually impactful ministry environment.

Reporting to: Lead Pastor

Responsibilities
Teaching bible studies with special emphasis on biblical evangelism and discipleship
Conduct evangelism and prayer meetings.
Co-ordinate the Youth ministry of the church.
Organize revival and evangelistic programs for the Church.
Engage in prayer and fasting with a view to build spiritual covering for the church.
Assist the Pastor where possible during or after church ministration and serving Holy Communion.
Co-ordinate the Food bank operation of the church


The skill, experience and qualifications required for the post.
Essential:
(i)The Person must subscribe to the tenets of Faith of the Redeemed Christian church of God (RCCG) worldwide
(ii) Must have at least a Higher National Diploma
(iii) Must have had previous experience of working with the youth within the RCCG or any evangelical church
(iv) Must have certificate of competence in Pastor’s induction course conducted by the RCCG or be willing to undertake the training
(v) Must have verifiable 2-years work experience in a job that involves intensive interaction with people regularly.
(vi) Must be computer literate to intermediate skill level (Microsoft Office Suites)
(vii) Must be willing to undertake missionary work and travels within UK and overseas
(viii) Candidate must be a Born-Again Christian and must be able to describe their Salvation experience.
(ix) Must have completed School of Discipleship (those who are currently enrolled on the course may be considered)

*Desirable*:
Previous experience in youth ministry. Familiarity with African / Black-majority church and culture.
