Gerard Julien, Echezeaux(from a . 24 ha holding in Les Treux). An even spicier nose consists of ripe poached plum, violet, jasmine tea and sandalwood scents. There is exceptionally good richness to the concentrated, serious and muscular flavors that evidence focused power on the robust and built to age but not really austere finale. This beauty should age extremely well yet be approachable after 7 to 8 years.

This is every bit as elegant as the Fontenys but quite firm like the VV

jammy fruit and a gorgeous earth and mushroom note very much like good mature burgundy

the Parafada was done partly in French oak

Finishes extremely tactile and long

This is also quite floral with excellent ripeness but also fine freshness to the plum

Initially there was a touch of reduction so be sure to decant this

blue and violet aromas that are followed by wonderfully intense

The 2005 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Auslese

pliant red-toned fruit and mid-weight structure are the signatures
